“Some were fools through their sinful ways, and because of their iniquities suffered affliction; they loathed any kind of food, and they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.”
Sin separates us from God. It grows in the darkness and thrives in secrecy, destroying people from the inside out. There are always consequences for sin. Even the “little sins” we try to justify in our minds have natural consequences. Jealousy, gluttony, and bitterness are in the same category as idolatry, sexual immorality, and murder- they are all sins! We can choose our sins, but we can’t choose our consequences. Yet, when we are deep in darkness, God is with us. Thank the Lord that He gives us a new life when we receive Him. The old man is dead and gone! We still deal with sin and its consequences, but God revives us daily. He restores us to life eternal through His Son, Jesus!
"WE CAN CHOOSE OUR SINS BUT WE CAN'T CHOOSE OUR CONSEQUENCES."
