PSALM 107:7-9

“He led them by a straight way till they reached a city to dwell in. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.”

When reading this verse, I think of the testimony of George Müller. He and his wife opened their home as an orphanage, and the abundance of needy children led to some crazy stories of God’s providence. The Müllers never asked for financial aid or resources from others to support their ministry because they trusted God to provide for their needs. In one instance, the family ran out of milk to give to the children. The children sat down to breakfast with no milk and gave thanks to the LORD for his providence. Not five minutes later, a milk cart broke down outside of the orphanage, and the man offered the Müllers’ the contents of his cart, which was enough to feed all of the children. The LORD provides for His children wondrously and miraculously. All it takes is trusting God and thanking Him for His providence.

"THE LORD PROVIDES FOR HIS CHILDREN WONDROUSLY AND MIRACULOUSLY."

LORD, thank you for providing for me. Thank you for satisfying my soul and filling me with good things. Forgive me for trying to take things into my own hands. What you have for me is better than anything else.
