“But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble.”
How can we follow a path if we cannot see it? When we walk in treacherous territories, we risk falling into a trap, getting lost, or getting hurt. Living outside of God's light makes us susceptible to a directionless, confusing, and wicked life. The path of the just has an exact destination, one that is seen and not withheld. God led Moses and the Israelites through the wilderness as a pillar of fire, brightly illuminating their path. Even though they walked at night, their way was clear when they followed God- perhaps even as clear as day.
"JESUS IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD AND WITHOUT HIM, WE CANNOT FIND OUR WAY."
LORD, you are my light in the darkness. Thank you for illuminating my path. Please forgive me for relying on myself instead of turning to you for guidance. Please show me where the enemy has placed stumbling blocks in my way and teach me to avoid them. Please help me to keep my eyes on you because you will guard my steps.
