“Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.”
Growth is a characteristic of life! If an organism does not grow, it is dead. Spiritually, if we aren’t growing closer to the Lord, we die. When we start to walk in our flesh instead of walking in the Spirit, we aren’t just separated from Christ, but also one another; this dislocation is not just painful, but it can cause a lot of damage when it’s not corrected. When it comes down to it, we must ask ourselves if we love God and love others. Usually, one area is a good indicator of how we are doing in the other. If the body of Christ is functioning correctly, it will grow and build because it’s operating out of love. If you brought your life to the great physician, would there be any dislocated joints hindering growth? Only he can repair those kinds of damages and heal the hurt they caused to the rest of the body.
"WHEN WE START TO WALK IN OUR FLESH INSTEAD OF WALKING IN THE SPIRIT, WE AREN'T JUST SEPARATED FROM CHRIST, BUT ALSO ONE ANOTHER."
LORD, thank you for your steadfast love. Thank you for giving me life through your son, Jesus. Please forgive me for turning away from the source of life itself. Please help me to love you and love others.
