1 CORINTHIANS 13:!2
“For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.”
The way we see God is like when we look into a foggy mirror. The general shape is distinguishable, but details are not visible until the fog clears. In comparison, God sees us fully as if he were looking at us through a microscope. He knows us more intimately than we know ourselves! When I think about all of the things God sees when He looks at me, I give thanks for the covering of the blood of Christ that washes away my blemishes. If we were to see God now, our very essence would be undone (like the prophet, Isaiah). No wonder God wanted us with Him for all eternity; it will take at least that long to know every beautiful thing about Him.
"GOD KNOWS US BETTER THAN WE KNOW OURSELVES."
LORD, you are awesome. Nothing compares to you. Thank you for knowing me fully and loving me despite my sin. Seeing your face and knowing you fully will be the best part of my life. Please help me to honor you with my actions and words today.
