Faithfulness

PROVERBS 20:6

“Many a man proclaims his own steadfast love, but a faithful man who can find?”

Actions speak louder than words. So many people in today’s world are loud-mouthed in proclaiming their love for others but fail the test of faithfulness. Many times, we forget that our love for one another should be unconditional like the love of Christ. Unfortunately, love comes at a price. When it’s time to set aside our own desires for the sake of someone else, we may flake out. Rarely do we see Christians who show no partiality in their love and faithfulness. One of my friends is especially faithful and kind to every person with whom he comes into contact. He makes everyone feel at ease in his presence and cares for their needs without them saying a word. Friends like these are so precious and yet I find their presence convicting.

"AM I WILLING TO INCONVENIENCE MYSELF TO HELP THOSE IN NEED?"

LORD, thank you for your unfailing love. Please forgive me for not walking in love and for abandoning others for my own convenience. Holy Spirit, give me the strength to die to my own desires. Show me how to love my neighbor as myself. Please help me to be a faithful friend.
